Charissa is an American sportscaster born on May 5, 1982. ESPN analyst was chosen to co-host SportsNation for 2012. She was also co-hosting ABC's Splash alongside Joey Lawrence. Thompson, born and raised in Seattle Washington, hosted Splash on ABC. She was the youngest child of three. She knew at a young age that she would like to become a journalist. Thompson graduated from Inglemoor High School located in Kenmore Washington. Thompson moved to California for a college experience and to obtain California residency. Thompson transferred to University of California Santa Barbara later, and earned an associate's degree. She graduated in Law and Society with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2004. Thompson says that, despite what Sports Illustrated said about her having left Washington State for a community college in California and then transfer to UC Santa Barbara she never attended WSU. Thompson who was a former sports journalist for Sports Illustrated, received an email offering to have her body painted as well as be featured in a Swimsuit Edition.
