 Jimmy Donaldson was born May 7, 1998. He is better known as MrBeast. The YouTube personality has been credited with pioneering a genre of YouTube videos that focus on expensive stunts. His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson posted videos to YouTube when he was 13 using the name "MrBeast6000". His first videos were a mixture of Let's Plays and videos in which he estimated the wealth of other YouTubers. Following the 2017 "Counting to 100,000" video received tens and thousands of views in a matter of days, Donaldson became an instant YouTube star. His early content included Let's Plays and videos that were a look at the wealth of other YouTubers. Donaldson has hired a lot of his childhood friends as his assistants for his expanding channel. MrBeast the main YouTube channel of Donaldson, a channel with over 100 million users, was established in 2022.
